Simplified evolutionary model of ten steps for artificial Intelligent Sensing, reasoning and acting
Simplified evolutionary model of ten steps for artificial Intelligent Sensing Entities (ISE), from perception to evolution, following the traditional scheme of the "knowledge pyramid", from sensing raw data (bits) to wisdom for efficient adaptation to the environment:
1.PERCEPTION. Acquisition of environmental sensing raw data and and signal pre-processing by ISE.
2.REALISATION. Interpretation (understanding) of Sensing Events Detection (SED). Separation, Representation, Classification and Compression.
3.RECOGNITION. Analysis of multi-sets of SED for Activity Recognition (AR) and Pattern discrimination.
4.COMPREHENSION. Reasoning process of multi-sensing analysis (matching databases from query language consults) for the Context Definition (CD).
5.REFLEXION. Analysis of similar and previous cases and experiences available in the memory.
6.DECISION. Application of risk management and decision-making tools to evaluate the level of conviction/intuition, to score the certain/doubt of the Situation Reliance (SR), and to decide the action.
7.PERSONALISATION. Individual setting and configuration of parameters to define the behaviour of the actions.
8.ACTION. Individual Actuation (IA) or collective Interaction (CI), in four main classes of Automatic/Robotic Services (ARS):
- Informing, Reporting periodically, monitoring, recording,..
- Alerting, Warming, Alarming, Messaging,..
- Assisting, helping, supporting,.. (collaborative IA and CI)
- Tele-surveillance (vision or audition).
9.ADAPTATION. Robotics user training, such a “domestic pet” via sensing domain and industrial applications.
10.EVOLUTION. Continuous individualisation and adaptation process to automatically update and upgrade artificial intelligence from the Internet and user training.
